Auditions

An audition is required for Milaukee Ballet's Summer Intensive Program.  Audition results determine acceptance into the appropriate program and level if place into the Pre-Professional program. Audition results are emailed within ten days of each audition. The first day of the Pre-Professional program is used to verify placement. The Intermediate Intensive program consists of one level for all students.  To audition for either program ladies must have started pointe work no later than September 2011. 

Click here to Download, print, and complete an Audition Tour Registration Form and bring it to the auditon with the $30 in-person audition fee.  The audition dress code for women is a solid color leotard, pink tights, ballet and pointe shoes.  For men, black tights, white t-shirt and ballet shoes should be worn for the audition. 

If you are interested in auditioning for the Nancy Einhorn Milwaukee Ballet II program while attending the 2012 Summer Intensive Program, please bring a resume, headshot, and dance photo (any position/pose) to the audition.  Your summer intensive audition is not an audition for Milwaukee Ballet II.  Photos and resume are not needed at the audition if you are not interested in Milwuakee Ballet II.

Audition Cities for 2012:

*Some auditions are divided by age due to the large number of attendees historically at these audition sites.  Students who are 14 years old now and will be 15 years old by the start of the program may audition in either class listed at the site.

DVD auditions are accepted for students unable to attend an in-person audition. The DVD should be 5-8 minutes in length and demonstrate barre, center, turns, jumps and pointe or men's work. Include an Audition Tour Registration Form and a $40 DVD audition fee with the DVD. Also include student's name, address and age on the actual DVD. Send package to Milwaukee Ballet, Attention: School Director, 504 W. National Avenue, Milwaukee, WI 53204 by April 15, 2012.
