Student Division - Beginning Level

Ages 7-plus Years

Students age seven or older on or before September 1, 2011 are accepted into Ballet I. The emphasis in the beginning level of study is on posture and the fundamentals of ballet training. Upon completion of Ballet III, students will understand the structure of ballet training as well as have begun to develop the necessary strength and posture that will enable them to progress into the Intermediate Level.

Research from the Dance Department at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee indicates children who are given adequate opportunities to move and exercise in developmental movement patterns have brains better primed for learning.  Students engaged in dance have higher levels of academic achievement, problem-solving skills, creativity, and physical coordination.  Most high school students enrolled at Milwaukee Ballet School & Academy have outstanding grades, time management and self-discipline skills that have developed over their many years of training at Milwaukee Ballet School & Academy.

Children in the Student Division will perform in the bi-annual showcase performance of Alice in Wonderland on June 2-3, 2012.

Tuition: Please refer to the class schedule for the full tuition for each class.

Tuition Due Dates: Tuition is divided into four equal payments payable on specific dates. 

Students registering mid-year will have their tuition prorated based on their start date.  This amount will be calcuated upon receiving your registration.  You will not be charged the full amount indicated online.  If you are interested in a class listed as full, please call 414-649-4077 for waiting list information.

The first payment is due with registration form.
Remaining due dates are: November 1, 2011 | February 1, 2011 | April 2, 2012

The Student Division session is Tuesday, September 6 through Saturday, June 2

Winter Break is Monday, December 19, 2011 through Sunday, January 1, 2012
Spring Break is Monday, April 2 through Sunday, April 15, 2012
