Children’s Division - Creative Movement and Pre-ballet
Ages 3-6 Years
The Children’s Division introduces students to their first years of dance training. Coordination, rhythm, body awareness, and ballet class discipline are emphasized through guided, creative, age-appropriate activities. In addition, Pre-Ballet students are introduced to elementary ballet terminology, positions and movements. Research from the Dance Department at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee indicates children who are given adequate opportunities to move and exercise in developmental movement patterns have brains better primed for learning. Students engaged in dance have higher levels of academic achievement, problem-solving skills, creativity, and physical coordination. Children in Pre-Ballet I-Academy II will participate in the Alice in Wonderland student showcase on June 2-3, 2012.
Placement in the Children’s Division classes is based on the age of the student as of September 1, 2011.
Registration
Students register for the entire dance year, September through June 2, 2012. Please review our complete registration information.
Creative Movement Tuition: $480 (4 payments of $120)
Pre-Ballet Tuition: $700 (4 payments of $175)
Students starting class mid-year will have their tuition prorated based on their start date. This amount will be calculated once your registration is received. You will not be charged the full amount when registering online mid-year.

Tuition Due Dates
The first payment is due with registration form.
Remaining due dates are: November 1, 2011 | February 1, 2012 | April 2, 2012
The Children's Division Session is from Tuesday, September 6, 2011 through Saturday, June 2, 2012. If you register for a class on a day other than Tuesday, your class begins the first time that day of the week comes after September 6. If you register for a class on a day other than Saturday, your class ends on the respective day of the week before June 2, though all Pre-Ballet students will perform in Alice in Wonderland on June 2-3, 2012.
Winter Break is Monday, December 19, 2011 through Sunday, January 1, 2012
Spring Break is Monday, April 2 through Sunday, April 15, 2012
