Matthew Koller
Accompanist

Matthew Koller began playing percussion at the age of 5. While he is mostly self-taught, he has studied under renowned Milwaukee jazz legend Victor Soward. He joined the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee Dance Department as an accompanist in 1994. During that time, he toured the country as a drummer with his band ebb-n-flow and has worked with several rock and pop acts in Milwaukee and Chicago. In 2005, he took a position with the Dance department at Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ. In 2006, he rejoined the UWM staff and began playing Modern classes with the Milwaukee Ballet on a regular basis. Matthew has also played with Danceworks in Milwaukee and has played master classes for the Alvin Ailey Dance Company when the company visits Chicago.
