Lisa Moberly
Faculty

Lisa has been dancing since age six. She graduated from University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point with a Bachelors of Arts in Dance. While in college she spent two summer in New York taking classes at the Nikolas Louis Studio, Steps, and Alvin Ailey. She also started teaching dance to children when in college and became the Assistant Director for Turning Point Dance Academy in Stevens Point.

After graduation she danced professionally with Knopy, directed by Chris Stevens, and DanceCircus, directed by Betty Salamun. Over the years she has done pick up work for Yves de Bouteille and Bob Fisen and in Chicago for Brian Jeffrey and various other artists. While living in Chicago, Lisa taught modern dance to pre-professional students at the Academy of Dance Arts, directed by Sherry Morray.

Because of her exposure to Pilates in college Lisa decided to pursue that interest and earned her full certification as a Pilates instructor after 800 hours of work over seven years. She has taught Pilates to adults and uses these concepts when teaching her dance students.

Today Lisa keeps busy with her new son and looks forward to performing again.
