Jessica Hermanny
Accompanist

Jessica Hermanny began piano lessons as a Suzuki student at the age of four. She received her advanced training with Irmgard Bittar in Madison, Wisconsin; during that time she won first place in the Wisconsin Music Teachers Association’s 1996 Badger auditions and was runner-up in the Madison Symphony Orchestra’s 1997 Fall Youth Concerto Competition.

Jessica received her B.A. (German/philosophy minor) from Hillsdale College in Michigan, having studied for a year at the Universität des Saarlands in Saarbrücken, Germany. At Hillsdale she continued to study piano with Dr. Susan Flaskerud-Rathmell on a keyboard scholarship.

Jessica’s several years of ballet training at Ballet Madison have greatly helped her as an accompanist, and she enjoys being a part of the world of dance again.
