Sarah Kasdorf, a native of Brookfield, WI, began her dance training at a local studio in Brookfield and moved on to Milwaukee Ballet School at age 14. After high school, she studied in the UW-Milwaukee Dance Program for one year and transferred to Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI to pursue a physical education degree. In college, Sarah taught ballet for the Greater Grand Rapids Figure Skating Club and was a choreographer for the Calvin College Dance Guild.
Since she graduated in 2000, Sarah received her personal trainer certification form the American Council on Exercise and worked for the downtown YMCA as a fitness coach.
She began teaching for Milwaukee Ballet School in 2002. In addition to teaching Pre-ballet, Student Division levels I and II, and Beginning Open Division classes, Sarah has enjoyed working with the younger students in The Nutcracker. She has also taught students in grades 3-5 at Milwaukee Public Schools for the Releve program. The program has been particularly special to her because she sees the pride and joy the children experience as a result of their hard work each week and in their final performance.
