Dennis Buehler
Executive Director

Dennis Buehler joined Milwaukee Ballet as Executive Director in the fall of 2007.
Prior to joining the Ballet, Mr. Buehler led the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts in Brookfield, WI, for nearly six years, where he has been credited with initially guiding the successful strategic, artistic, and business development of one of this region’s fastest growing arts organizations. In 2005, s recognized his efforts by naming him one of its “Forty Under Forty” awardees.
He has been an active member of the Greater Milwaukee Cultural Alliance, served as a local advocacy captain for Arts Wisconsin and a committee member for the Milwaukee 7 project, as well as the Milwaukee Public Television Friends strategic planning group, and is now excited to be joining the Milwaukee Mosaic Partnership Program. He has also spoken on the regional impact of arts venues and collaboration on behalf of the national arts advocacy group Americans for the Arts.
Prior to his work at the Wilson Center, Mr. Buehler held roles in production management with a number of theatre groups including the Skylight Opera Theatre in Milwaukee from 1998-2002. He graduated from the Professional Theatre Training Program at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1992 and left the university with high honors in 1993. Mr. Buehler currently lives in Mequon with his wife Treena, an independent artist, and their two daughters.
