Alla Levin
Accompanist

Born in Belarus, Alla Levin started studying music at the age of five. The study of music gave her much joy and she knew as a child that the piano was her closest friend and that they would never be apart. Ms. Levin completed the College of Music in Smolensk, Russia. For further study she completed the Academy of Music in Minsk, Belarus. Afterwards, she worked as a piano teacher in a School of Music. Ms. Levin worked her way up form teacher to chief of the piano department at the school. Many of her students became professional musicians. Along with being a teacher, Ms. Levin also worked as an accompanist to vocal groups, choirs, instrumental ensembles, and soloists. She was also awarded the honor of being named Concertmaster of Superior Rank (highest rank in the former Soviet Union). As an accompanist she has performed on national television in Moscow.

In 1989 Ms. Levin immigrated with her family to the United States. As an accompanist she worked at a private vocal studio. For five years she worked as a performer of classical and popular music at the Audubon Court Book Store. Afterwards she began to work as an accompanist at the Milwaukee Ballet School at Riverpoint. Recently Ms. Levin has performed at Temples, the JCC, and Joyce Parker Productions. She is currently the Musical Director of the Russian Community Theater. Ms. Levin also has her own piano studio and has students of all ages and levels. Every year her students take part in the Wisconsin Dolor Ensemble and usually earn top rank. At the end of each semester her students take part in a recital.

Ms. Levin is very happy that she can live up to her dream as a musician and proud to be a United States citizen since September 1999.
