Students starting Ballet VI are encouraged to attend a private pointe shoe fitting at Dance-n-Tees in Schaumburg, Illinois. Dance-n-Tees carries a full line of pointe shoes, ballet shoes and other dance related attire, etc. Students in Ballet VII and higher are also welcome to attend this trip to be refitted in pointe shoes or purchase shoes for the new school year.

The store will be closed to the public for the first 2 hours of our fitting time and Milwaukee Ballet School & Academy staff will be present to work with our students and the store staff to ensure proper pointe shoe fit.

A parent/guardian are welcome attend with each student. If parents are not present, students must have a way to pay for their purchases. Students should dress in leotard and tights under comfortable clothing.

Sunday, September 11

Depart Milwaukee Ballet’s Jodi Peck Center at 8:00a.m. via chartered school bus. Arrive at Dance-n-Tees around 10:00a.m. We expect the fittings to take several hours. Restaurants and other shopping are in the immediate area to enjoy before and after your child’s fitting. We expect to depart Schaumburg around 2:00p.m. but will determine the departure time based on the number of students attending the fitting.

Pointe shoes are not used in Ballet VI prior to this fitting. Ballet VI students who are unable to attend this trip should seek advice from their teachers before buying shoes locally.
