Milwaukee Ballet School Fall Lecture Series

Attend any or all of these information sessions to learn more about the world of dance and other important information.

Student Safety Seminar

Thursday, September 23

6:00-6:30.m.

Jodi Peck Center

Learn street smart safety tips for the urban environment from Dennis Nasci. Dennis is the Chief of the West Milwaukee Police Department and the father of recent Academy graduate, Lauren Nasci. This is an important session for Ballet VI-Academy students and parents to attend, especially for families involved in classes at the Jodi Peck Center after dark. Classes will begin after the seminar and end as scheduled. Students from other branches are welcome to take class at the Jodi Peck Center on this night.  Milwaukee Ballet School & Academy students only.

 

Post High School Options for Dancers

5:00-6:00p.m.

Jodi Peck Center

This lecture is open to all students but most informative to high school students who are interested in a career in or attending college for studying dance. This session will be conducted by Renee Griswold, Milwaukee Ballet School General Manager and Marcia Parsons from the UWM Dance Department.  Milwaukee Ballet School & Academy students only.

 

Summer Intensive Program Information Session

Saturday, November 20

3:00-4:00p.m.

Jodi Peck Center

Students in Ballet VI and higher are encouraged to attend this information session about Milwaukee Ballet’s Summer Intensive program and summer intensive programs in general. Learn why summer intensive programs are important and questions you need to ask when choosing the program that is right for you. This is most informative to students new to the summer intensive (experience especially students in Ballet VI & VII) but students who have attended intensive programs are welcome to attend and share their experiences as well. Audition season begins after winter break – learn now so you are ready.  This program is open to Milwaukee Ballet School & Academy students and also to the general public.
